How to sell old car parts? I have a garage full of old car parts, both exterior and interior, mostly for early 60's T-birds but there are some others. Everything from an entire engine to hoods, hubcaps and backseats! I cannot relocate them myself, but I want to sell them SAFELY. How do I sell these parts and have them picked up by the buyer? Are there companies that do this? I live in Fresno, CA (Central Valley). Thanks!
Can I still sell my old car to the government without taking smog test? When I took my old car (1994) to a test only smog check center for a failed smog test in order to sell it to the government, the smog technician told me that because of its problematic transmission, he couldn't put it on the test. But I heard that you can still sell your car to the government without taking smog test. Is that true? For your information, the car's engine still works very well, but it runs slowly.

Ordered new car and need to sell old one..? I've ordered a new car, which will be arriving in September / October as its being "built to order". I need to sell my old car. I currently have 1 year and 10 months worth of no claims. The garage said they will give me a loan car if I sell mine before the new car arrives. My question is this - How can I transfer my insurance without it lapsing (and therefore losing the last 10 months of no claims) Since when I sell my current car, I wont know any details about the loan car - so I wont be able to do a straight transfer of the insurance. Is there anyway I can put in insurance "on hold" for a week or so without cancelling it, while I get the loan car sorted out? I dont want to wait until I get my 2nd year of no claims in August before I sell, incase I dont have time to sell the car before my new one arrives. I hope this makes sense. Thanks. Markus.

Its ignition was punched and he replaced the ignition cylinder. Its theft deterent relay has been tripped and requires a cpu replacement. Should I sell my old car or cars? My husband and I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder which has over 180,000 miles but there is no way of knowing b/c the odometer is broken. He can't sell his car since it will be considered income which will interfere w/ his monthly SSI/SS checks. I was thinking of transferring ownership to my name and avoid paying taxes. Engine-wise it will probably do another 150,000 Klm if well maintained, and untill the engine needs a complete overhaul. Body-wise, has no rust, a couple of dents, and needs to be re-sprayed if I want to make look like new. The only problem is that spare-parts are limited to none, because it was manufactured in 1987. I would probably spend more money fixing it if I keep it. My family doesn't want me to sell it, but if I think logically, I think is better to sell it and buy another more up to date car. Because my car is a sports model, its compact inside, and many friends think is too squashy once they sit inside; for the rest it has hardly gave me any problems.
