- The rates can vary depending on your situation, but Geico or Progressive are most likely cheaper than State Farm. State Farm, however, is generally a better insurance company, which is why it costs more. I personally think the extra money is worth buying State Farm, as it will save you a lot of hassle if you ever get in an accident.
- Depends on your age, driving record, and where you live. Geico was really cheap for me when I lived in South Dakota, but when I moved to Illinois, I easily found a company that was cheaper. I'd check with each of them and even some other companies to find the best rate. The easiest thing to do would be to contact an independent insurance agent who has access to rates from many different companies.
- The rates vary depending on your age, driving record, location, etc.
- Insurance rates vary some but for a young driver, insurance will be expensive, regardless of insurance company. Here is an article that may help explain: http://www.leaseguide.com/Articles/cheap-car-insurance.htm .
- 1400 for 6 months??? That seems a bit high. But then again it will depend on your age, location, and driving record. I live in New Jersey and I pay about $770 for my brand new 2008 Acura from Geico, I have a clean driving record.
