what is the cheapest way to modify and tune your car?

lets say I have 2000 dollars. what kind of tuning is most cost effective and increases most power? specifically for civic si hatchback(02-04)

1. buy a body kit and replace heavy metal parts, cool air intake, lighter rims, new computer to increase rev points, and a cutom head job(normally no name company give better deals and more power on 4 cylinders) new exhaust manifold and lower it about 3 inchs it will haddle way better
2. I'd saysome good upgrades if you haven't done them already is a cold air intake, a K&N airfilter and a performance chip. If you already have done those consider nitrous or a turbocharger.

Intake - $150 Exhaust Cannister - $250 Headers - $150 Straight Pipe at Mufler Shop - $100 (but first take of Catalyic Converter, if you have it, the shop WILL NOT Install new piping) Short Shifter - $200 Semi-Racing Clutch - $350 - $450 Adjustable Cam Gears - $300 Underdrive Pulley - $250 HKS Circle Earth - $130 grounding kit You should also try getting a pair of some semi racing tires....... All this is around 2000 dollars If you get a Turbo Kit right off the bat Ill tell you right now, to get it running nicely tuned its going to cost you MORE than $2000 alone. (Im talking about a good realiable kit, not some E-gay used, missing parts, kit.)
4. I would go with a cold air intake and a performance chip for starters.
5. remove the spare tire....less weight = better performance
6. Stick to the basics, intake, exhaust and ignition. Do you want fuel efficiency, performance or reliability? For performance and fuel efficiency you can upgrade your ignition system, air intake system, and exhaust systems. A computer upgrage is optional. Do the research for you import car and remember to budget and shop around. Good luck with your project. Also please remember that you lose reliability when you severely modify your engine.
