  1. There is an insurance company called Hagerty that specializes in insuring classic cars. You should check them out when you shop for insurance.
  2. You can get classic car insurance, but you will not be able to drive it more than a few thousand miles per year (you can't use it as a daily driver). There are quite a few classic car insurers. Among the best known and best in terms of value is JCTaylor. They probably have a website. Just "Google" it..
  3. Yes you can get classic insurance on this car, I have a '56 chevy pickup and a '68 chevy caprice and I was able to get insurance on them with Safeco. Insurance. I went through westcoast insurance agency they were pretty reasonable too.
  4. my advice to you would be to to maintain your dad to be the legal owner of the car & the primary driver but stipulate that you are a secondary driver and that the car insurence will be maintained when you are driving. obviously dont tell the car insurence companies that you are going to be doing a majority of the driving. & talk to a number of car insurence companies & you'll probably save a fair bit. www.au-insurance.com is a pretty good place to start. good luck.
