  1. why would u modify a leased car? idk but i think somethings going around. when u sign a lease u get a contract. read the contract. i am willing to bet that u cannot signifcantly modify or change the vehicle without some penalty.
  2. they won't do nothing. remember you have to turn the car back in in it's original factory condition so whatever money you put into is money lost cause it becomes their property unless you want to pay extra money to restore the car to factory condition before you turn it in. for future reference never lease a car.
  3. make you pay to restore the car to it's original condition
  4. The majority of lease agreements require the car be returned in the exact condition it was sold to you in, except for "normal wear and tear". If you modify the vehicle WITHOUT their permission, it gives them the rights not only to keep the money you placed into the modified vehicle, but charge you outrageous fees for "their need to restore" the vehicle. You can contact the leasing company and ask if they will allow you to modify the vehicle, and let them know up front, many leasing companies will allow some modification to the vehicle. BUT you must let them know up front and you must get paperwork done to show they gave approval. Keep this paperwork of their approval until after you've returned your leased vehicle (or out right purchase it).
