Has anyone gone with Kwik Fit car insurance?

They've quoted me a fairly cheap price compared to many other companies and are offering me a free MOT and a discount card to use in their centers. Anyone have any good or bad reviews? This is my first time getting insurance so i havent got any previous policies to look back on. Im female, in the uk and 21. Thanks.

  1. Lol the card is to insure that they're the ones who can ripp you off when something goes wrong
  2. no sorry
  3. If there insurance is any thing like there car repairs - DONT DO IT!. They have tried to fix my breaks about 5 times so far. I wouldn't risk it. AA is quite cheap for people with zero no claims.
  4. no sorry am with the post office they r very cheap to
  5. No but last year I did use a price comparison site and this year kwik fit called me about 10 times a day for a fortnight trying to quote me. When I finally answered, they were £200 more expensive than my regular insurer (egg) and could not budge in price so I asked them to kindly stop hounding me. They called the next day suggesting I speak to their other department who might be able to quote me lower. Doubting that it would be more than £200 lower I asked them again to please stop calling me and have learned my lesson about price comparison sites.
  6. i have just done my insurance with them as they were the cheapest for me as well. Never used them before, done the insurance with the limited mileage, read the small print about paying excess if i go over the limit and make a claim but as i have no intention of going over the limit then its worth it, have already had my car mot'ed but the free mot test is valid for a full year so i can use that for my next mot and the free winter service is a good idea, especially for me as i am really lazy when it comes to looking after my car. It does seem like this is a good insurance policy, hope that helps.
  7. No, but my husband had an exhaust repaired there one and they asked if they could quote him when his insurance became due, e gave them a phone number and we couldn't get rid of them they were forever on the phone. A bit aggressive in my opinion.
  8. I have been with kwit fit for 2 years now and have found them to be very good, my insurance was around £1100 for the first year and now it is £600 (I'm 19). I also have a 10% off card which is good when you are a student because you get money off tyres etc..
  9. Apparently they won't quote without you giving them your phone number, and a colleague of mine found out why. He was bombarded with hundreds (literally) of sales calls which could only have originated from the information he gave Kwik Fit. There is a clause on the application for a quote which says "We may use the information you give to make you aware of financial products and special offers which could save you money. For this purpose we may also share your information with Kwik-Fit Group companies and other carefully selected third parties. This may be by telephone or e-mail." You cannot opt out of this.
  10. You should try the car insurance company that I am insured with, Cosa Nostra auto insurance. Fully comp for £30. oo per annum and the policy is so simple; Hey, you hit us, we hit you. Ok?
  11. CHECK WITH THE BOARD OF INSURANCE WHICH IS ON LINE AND SEE IF THEY CAN HELP YOU.
  12. i am with kwik fit and i rate them highly!cheap+great customer service.....i would recommend them !
