Rebuttel for car insurance?

I just got this new job getting info for a insurance agent so they can do a quote for a person. I was wondering what is a good rebuttel when ppl say they are not interested in the quate. Its free and they get the quote mailed to them.

  1. Some people just don't want to be bothered. Personally, when a company keeps pushing to convince me that I want something, I get more annoyed and just commit not to do business with them. If I WANT a quote, I will ASK for one.
  2. Nothing you say is going to keep me talking to you on the phone if I'm not interested. Your just another annoying ad.Good Bye
  3. How about "ok, thank you for your time." I don't know about others, but when I say I'm not interested, I like for that to be the end of the conversation. Yes, I get a free quote, but you get my mailing address and can continue to send me stuff forever. That's reason enough to not be interested.
  4. I get free quotes in the mail for homeowners insurance once a year when my current policy comes up for renewal. I usually just toss them in the trash because I do not want to be switching insurance carriers all the time. Also, the quote is not always the final price for the premium because after the agent has the insured on the phone knowing that the consumer may possibly be interested the agent then has to get permission to do a credit check. It is after this point that the insured receives the actual premium amount that they are going to have to pay. I do not know what a good rebuttle might be which is why I could never be an insurance agent or CSR. I do not believe in the product being sold; knowing that I may be selling a policy where if the insured needs to file a claim there is a good possiblity that the claim will either be denied or their premium increase. Good luck to you! Why don't you get some ideas from your boss? What does he/she usually say?
  5. i dont want rebuttal, i want facts and info on the company. if i say, no thanks, pleas, i dont want to hear how much money i can save. i can save money by changing to any other company fine, but its a reputable company who, in the event needed will go to bat to cover me and my assets. I want to know if your company can protect me up to the limits of my liability, and not disappear in the event of a claim.
  6. So, you got a job being an annoying telemarketer making cold calls? The best thing to say when people say they aren't interested is "Thank you for your time" and then hang up. Personally, I'd suggest a different job. If people want a quote on insurance there are a million places to call, and even more web pages to peruse. Call me, and I will get your name and what company you work for since I'm on the "no call" list, and you will be paying me for bothering me.
