how to same money on car insurance? any discounts?

what discounts are available? i bought my first car and I would prefer to to pay a fortune to insure it.

1. You will need to inquire with each company to find out about discounts. A few give discounts for taking a defensive driving class. You can find out quotes here http://painintheexhaust.blogspot.com and there is a link to traffic schools to find out what states have defensive driving courses to lower insurance cost ( its not traffic school )
2. Check out this guy <Jeffrey W.@insurance.com> I was shopping for insurance, and he saved me $375 per year. He did all the paperwork, found the best deal, and I told him I would tell the world about how happy I was to find him. I am not kidding you. His company finds you the best rates in the nation. I do not have the best of records, was paying $790 per year for 2 vehicles, 2 drivers, and just wanted collision, no comprehensive, and uninsured motorist insurance. 3. several discounts are available depending on your situation and what each company offers here are a few things to check. 1. safe driver discounts 2. multiple insurer discounts (2 cars on same policy, house and car on policy) 3. good student discount. 4. any driving classes taken - defensive driving course 5. ask for a higher deductible, this will lower your insurance
