How to negotiate with dealer for a new car?

I am planning to buy a car from worth 9.2 lacs ex-showroom price. What is the maximum cash discount I can expect from the dealer? Any other negotiation tips that can be useful?

  1. Right info will get only from the dealer.
  2. It depends upon the Model of the car u r buying. Since it already december .... 2007 models will be sold for a bit less and u can ask for accessories like upholstry, central locking, and fog lamps, music system, teflon coating for the exterior etc.Probably a tank full of fuel too
  3. the best way is to put two dealers against each other. get one to send you a quote over email and haggle with him until you get a deal you like. then take his deal and email it to other dealerships and ask them to beat it, Make sure you say in the emails that your planing to buy today, that will always make dealers jump
  4. the salesman doesn't make the deal..... they act like they do... a salesman is a puppet, that are control by the big man in the office... if it is a big car lot... the big man is watching every little thing that u and salesman make. they watch for facial impression.... really depends on the vechile... if is new the mark up is bout 3 to 6k.... a tip if u are buying a car, buy new.. never trade anything in u will get burned in the long run.. sell straight up, more money
  5. yeah victoria used to be amazing. but then after being under the surgeon's knife, and losing all that weight she just looks horrible i have to say. she used to be the best looking girl in the spice girls group, but today, after seeing their new crap single, she is the worst looking one. all the other spice girls look soooooo good. i'd say Mrs. Cole.
  6. End of month is a great time to BUY your new car, but it is NOT the best time to make your first dealership visit. Salesmen do try harder to make sales at the end of the month, which is about the last five days of the calendar month. In addition to the end of the month, there are better and worse times of the year to buy. Best time of the year to buy is the end of December, in most dealerships. Dealerships try to make specific quotas for end of month AND end of calendar year, and it is not a popular time to buy, so sales can slump seriously and they will try harder to make a sale, which means a better bargain. If you shy away from buying in the winter because of bad weather, think again: bad weather is when you WANT to be in the car, testing it’s foul weather capabilities. Other good times of year to buy are end of August and end of September because the old models are taking up space on the dealership property, and they want to make room for the new models to come in. If your heart is not set on a brand new model, this is an excellent time to buy a perfectly good new car that happens to have been manufactured a few months earlier. There is a very important BUT to this end of month advice: Do NOT make your very first visit to the dealership at the end of the month. Go to the dealership at the beginning or middle of the month, test drive the cars, get some info, then go home and give yourself two to three weeks to get the best financing. THEN go back at month's end armed with full information and a buying plan. Give yourself a day or two extra in case the first dealership doesn't work out and you need to go to another one. This is a big purchase, don't try to do it all in an afternoon!
  7. Well first off, the end of the month is not always the best time to buy. The fact is you will always get the best price when you are at the dealership ready to buy. The reason is because up until that point, you are only a prospect. Once you show intent to purchase, you become a viable customer. The best way to negotiate is to do your homework and find similar vehicles to the one you are looking to buy and compare the selling prices. Bringing these print out will mean much more than a print out from a 3rd party website such as kbb.com because kelly blue book does not buy nor sell cars. When you find the car you want, you make an offer to purchase at your price, which should be determined by the vehicles condition as well as the comparison to actual vehicle. The most powerful thing you can say is "If you reduce the price to <your number>, I will take it home today". When y ou say this, make sure you have every intent of buying if he can meet your price. And remember the "Best Deal" is when you find the car you want at a price you can afford. I hope this helps.
