  1. Yes, just inform your current insurance carrier that the car is stored, they will remove the liability portion, and just leave the loss/damage portion. Since it's in a garage, it won't be causing accidents, but it could get stolen or destroyed in a fire. The loss/damage portion is very small compared to the liability portion of your policy. Any insurance company will provide that form of policy.
  2. The best thing to do is try to search it on the net. Visit some car insurance site so that you can compare different services about their car insurance. You can try to visit this cheap car insurance site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com as your reference. I hope it could help. Goodluck
  3. Only your agent can answer this question.
  4. You can possibly drop the collision and comprehensive part of your coverage to save, while not driving the car.
  5. So the first answer was just about the opposite of the right answer. First while you can have the liability portion of your insurance removed from the policy, that is the part the is required by law in California and if you remove it your registration will be suspended until you provide the DMV with proof that you have reinstated it and have paid a fine. Second the liability portion of your policy is most likely less the the comp/coll part that covers any damage to you car, which can also be removed if you want. You just have to contact your agent and find out just how much your payments will go down when you remove covrages and then decided for yourself if the savings is worth the risk of not having the covrage.
