Best web sites for new car actual invoice prices?

I'm in the market for a new car, but don't want to get played. I just want to spend no more than $500 over invoice. Besides edmunds.com, can anyone recommend some good sites for researching car prices (actual invoice that the dealer pays, not msrp)? Thanks!

  1. Yahoo! Autos Keep in mind...What a dealer pays is invoice plus destination charge. Then they get incentives and holdback from the manufacturer that reduce their real cost to less than invoice. As for the internet not having the exact invoice price...not true. It's actually accurate. When I was shopping for a car recently, I wrote down the invoice prices from Yahoo! Autos before I went but I didn't show it to the dealers. Then during negotiations the dealers showed me invoice and it was the exact same amount. The dealers are generally open about this amount...probably because they know it's openly available on the internet. .
  2. pay no more than invoice cars sales are slow dealer will bargain
  3. Done of the sites out there will be an exact amount. The manufacturers do not release the information to anyone except their dealers. There are sites that provide an educated guess, but do not mistake it for the real thing. Always add a minimum 5% to an internet "invoice" so you don't walk into a dealership being unreasonable. For example, if the net says $20,000, add an extra 1,000.
  4. http://www.kbb.com/ Kelley Blue Book prices are among the most trustworthy you will find as far as quotes go. They evaluate both new and used cars. You can choose from a huge list of options available for the car you're interested in, and it will adjust the quote accordingly. Good luck!
  5. There are sites out there for Window Sicker price only The dealers invoices are never posted, Dealer Window stickers are marked up from the Invoices Both from the Manufacturing Company.... Depending on Vehicle this is a good rule of thumb Cars 800 to 1700 under Window sticker depending on car Trucks 950 to 1380 under window stricker On new 07's 08's 09's If you find a Left over 06 or Muti 07 leftovers on a Dealers lot Bank floor plans are asking for payments on those from dealer so they well Cut profit just to move that vehicle. Cadillac went to 18000 dollars marked off on 06 Escalade and started the 07 with lower pricing going up to 12000 marked off by 08 Other companys do this on different models... Ford also They don't want you to know this....
