  1. nope, not similar. it even differates inside the state. depends on if the area is rich, or if its okay.
  2. Nope, not even in the same state. I have went to several dealerships looking at the same exact car with same features, all different prices. It pays to shop around!
  3. Definitely not. You'll find prices will even vary from each dealership within a state. You can get free quotes on new cars in your area at this site: http://www.buyingadvice.com/
  4. Sticker prices (MSRP) and even the destination charge is exactly the same in all states (except possibly Alaska and Hawaii). However, the price you actually pay depends on your negotiation skills, supply and demand for the car you want, whether there are current rebates from the manufacturer, and your knowledge of what others are paying for the same car in your area. Edmunds.com is a great resource in all these areas. For most cars, you should be able to get a good dealer discount, in addition to any rebates being offered by the car maker. Look at Edmunds' TMV (True Market Value) price for the car you want.
  5. Pricing is a "supply and demand" situation. The dealer can sell the car for any price they want depending. If you walk into a dealer and negotiate a price they will typically start at MSRP and go down from there. It's usually a battle of the wills. I recommend you call the Fleet Manager and negotiate with him, they will give you a great price without all the hassle.
