I want to buy a car when i'm 18and have a job... but want one from a private seller and not one from a dealership simply because I wouldnt have enough money to put down on it. So instead I was thinking of buying a small cheap car for my first car,and getting a loan to for the car. And then pay the bank back that way or whatever they do. Can you apply for car loans at a credit union? I'm sorry in the title, I meant to say "PRIVATE SELLER" instead of used seller. Sorry.

As to the loan, depending on your Credit, you can easily get a small loan or personal loan from any bank or Credit Union. You don't have to get a Auto loan as the amount you need isn't high. But yes it is possible to get an auto loan from a Credit union. They actually love to do it. If you haven't built up your credit, you might need a co-signer if at all.
