Getting the best deal on a new car?
Anyone know whether you can get the best price by going into the dealership, negotiating with a salesperson, or communicating with the Internet salesman at that same dealership?

- ask for the fleet manager. it is usally cheaper
- The salesperson gets no pressure on-line, and they don't know if you are even going to come in. Defiantely go to the dealership.
- Go to the dealership and ask to talk to a sales manager. There is no "fleet Manager" in truth, Some dealerships have real Fleet departments, but they sell true fleet meaning 10 20 100 cars at a time to corporations and other businesses. Just ask for a sales manager and tell them your interested in a fleet deal, which is about 2% over cost minus all reebates plus tax and license. Word of advice is to know approximately what the payments are at msrp given your credit history. Every $10000 you finance at 60 months is about $200/ month at 7% interest (that's with great credit) rate so..... if the msrp is $30000 add the taxes and fees at about 10%=3000 So 30000+3000=$33000 and at sixty months with no cash down the payments will be about $660/month every thousand the dealer saves you or money you invest will lower your payment about $20.00/ month. Just make sure you don't waste time negotiating a price, when you can't afford the payments! Good luck hope this helps!
