- It has alway been my opinion that the Best DAY to buy a new car is Dec 31 make sure it is a current year and not next year's model. that is because the dealership doesn't want to pay taxes on the used cars.
- hard to tell with today's rebates and low int. I always wait till the last few days of the month to buy the dealers are hungry for a sale and remember to do your home work on kbb and Edmund's for the fair prices. I never buy on the same day as i look always make them call you back the next day and then shoot them a lower payment .i saved 30 a month on my 06 Nissan that way If the rates are not down buy a used one that will save you even more let someone else take the hit. use this link to calc additional principal my payment is 470 for 48 months but when i add additional money it cuts a lot of time off
- Anytime after the new year model comes out for that manufacturer. BMW and Lexus both have 2007s on the yard now with aged inventory on the 2006 models. Buy a 2006. BMW and Lexus do not have the type of discounts that domestic cars have. If the county you live in requires an inspection you can sometimes look on the window and see when the car was inspected. That way you can tell how long its been there. Also, if it has a lot of miles on it like 200 to 300 miles worth of test driving. They will do better deals on the aged inventory. Never, ever lease a car. If you can lease, you can buy. You can get on edmunds.com and spec out a car with a price. I have bought 3 new cars in the last 4 years within $ 250 of the edmunds price. Very few people buy cars in December because they spend their money on Christmas items and business is slow. Historically, you will get a great deal the week of Christmas. Also, NEVER GO CAR SHOPPING UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO WALK AWAY IF YOU DON'T GET THE DEAL YOU WANT.
- they are public companies - so march, june, september, and december - you have to keep the stock holders happy - semi-annual and annual reports or in september and december that is when you will see you biggest rebates
