Best place to find reliable car reviews?

I'm not buying soon, but I want to be informed when I do buy. So where are some of the best reliable sources for car research? There seems to be a lot of crap on the internet so I find it hard to rely on, but I know there must be some good places out there.

  1. www.edmunds.com
  2. nadaguides.com edmunds.com kbb.com they all have reviews and pricing
  3. Edmunds is a good resource, Car and Driver magazine sometimes offers good advice, word of mouth is good too if a friend,co-worker, or family member has a car you like ask them about it. Consumer Reports can be very biased and i rarely rely on their info. The best example of Consumer Reports stunning bias and lack of common sense was their whole Suzuki Samurai incident where they road tested a Samurai in much the same way you would a normal passenger car and when it flipped over they proceeded to verbally trash the vehicle. Thankfully Suzuki sued Consumer Reports and woke them up to the fact that you can't drive a SUV like a car.
  4. I have relied on Consumer Reports for years, not only for auto reviews but for big purchases of all types. I find that this publication is generally right with its reviews and predictions.
  5. car and driver.com
  6. Edmunds.com cars.com autotrader.com some of these websites offer links as well as there own reviews for New and Used Autos. Also, if you are wanting to find some general info on values, edmunds.com, nada.com, and kbb.com are excellent guides to finding a vehicles value. Remember, they are only guides not "Definite Value's" Mileage, Condition, model and Market value determine the cars "Actual Value". Hope this helps
  7. Edmunds or Autobytel
