should i buy new malaysian car proton persona or second hand foreigner car ?

I still confuse whether I should buy brand new launch malaysia proton persona with 0 milerage and with 5 years waranty or second hand japanese car with more milerage ? we have had read the review and is quite good. Help , please ?

1. When it comes to cars. My advice is always to get the proven brands and models. As for proton Persona, it is definitely not a proven brand nor model. It is very simple to observe.Just ask any Thai,Indonesian,Singaporean about proton cars.It is always very negative feedbacks.As a Malaysian ,i do not support any Proton cars.As they have a tendency to show various defects after 6 months.( from my own experience plus 3 of my co-workers on brand new proton cars)namely Satria 1.6,Wira 1.6,Waja 1.6 and 2 Gen 2 1.6 = 5 brand new cars in total with problems. As for used Japanese car, get one which is not modified by previous owner.However you have the right to buy any car/s from the market that you like. This is just my advice , without prejudice
2. From what i know, any brand of car also having problems. The different is only serious or small problems. The only things u need to worry about the proton car is their quality of production, not the design of the car. If u prefer 2nd hand Japanese car, i will not suggest u to take the latest model or within these few years. If u not rush to own a car, i will say "please wait", because there will be alot of fantastic technology coming soon. At that time u will notice the car u see on the road now are all rubbish. It's cause by the global worming issue, all the car are now force to jump into another generation. But if u decide to get proton persona, u need to check inch by inch when u receive before u accept, this will let u less suffer compare to claim the component after u accept. If u decide to get 2nd hand car, please make sure u bring along with a pro in inspection on car. Because there are alot of trap at the 2nd hand car dealer. And the difference between the new car and the 2nd hand car is on the maintenance cost. The new car maintenance cost are all listed down, others then that if anything broken are under warranty, u don't need to pay anything. 2nd hand car will have many hidden cost u need to cover, other then the normal maintenance and service fees, if anythings broken u need to cover by yourself. Whatever decision u made, good luck to u.
