Is Chrysler planning to introduce a Chinese made car called the Chery in 2009?

I just read that Chrysler is planning to introduce a Chinese made car, the Chery, in the 2009 model year. This car will sell for about $10,000.00. WOW!! What a disgrace!!!!!! Chrysler is going to try to screw the public with some over-priced Chinese pos. with a Chrysler nameplate put on it. I hope that Chrysler goes under and everbody loses their jobs. We dont need any more Chinese shit here. Chrysler is a bunch of incompetent crooks.

1. Man are you wrong.. and you have some big anger issues. DId a Chrysler car run over your foot when you were a kid? Now for the facts, Chrysler is looking to team up with a company CALLED Chery to possibly build a small car for Chrysler to be sold, most likely, under the Dodge name. Chery could produce the car cheaper then Chrysler could. Chrysler is NOT going to allow them to build a "pos"as you call it. They will have to follow strong quality control measures. Chrysler is NOT trying to "screw the public" Get your facts and information straight before posting such ridiculous questions. As for you little tirade that Chrysler should go under and everybody should loose their jobs, how juvenile. I have had three new Chryslers and they have all been high quality, well built, reliable cars. Maybe the company you work for should go under and you loose your job.

Chrysler is planning on introducing subcompacts made by chery.As far as I know the selling of Chrysler has somewhat complicated the deal but it still should go thru.Pointing the finger at Chrysler for wanting to get a foothold in the chinese car market is pretty dumb.All car manufacturers are teaming up with chinese companys.Gm has the largest sales in china for a foreign company and toyota is trying hard to get a foothold to.Nissan is trying to build a 3,000.00 car in India would you be so upset if that was imported to the usa.The best way for us to improve a communist country is to show them how capitalism works by doing so we help improve the lives of the workers and at the same time we get some benifit from reduced price goods.I do believe in supporting the American worker over the foreign one if buying a foreign product has a negative effect.It's a simple fact we cannot build small cars cheap enough in the usa.By introducing a 10,000 dollar sub compact Chrysler is doing two important things one is to provide fuel efficient autos and two is selling a new car at a price that helps those who are less fortunate financially to enjoy new car ownership.
3. Although Chrysler won't build or let anyone else build a pos, don't rule out that they won't do it eventually. Example: Chevy Aveo (Daewoo) made in Korea. Those cars are worthless. You cannot say that building a car overseas is better. It is sometimes, but our driving habits are different than those overseas. We do high mileage and can be harder on the engines. Considering how many quality issues China is having, if they did build a car for Chrysler, you can bet it won't live long. I am like many people now, I take into consideration where my car was built. Because I want longevity & reliabilty. Let those individuals who fail to properly research their car purchase get burned. Don't let it be your concern anymore. Worry about yourself and concentrate on improving yourself. You cannot live other peoples lives for them. And you certainly can't pick out their car for them. Always look at edmunds.com and read the reviews on the cars. It was my biggest resource for my research. Good day sir!
