Which Honda Fit would you buy--the 2008, or upcoming new model for 2009?
I love the Honda Fit, but have read about the few criticisms of the current car. Now the 2nd generation model has debuted at the New York Auto Show and appears to have addressed earlier issues, and it looks terrific! The downside is having to wait until September to get one, and I'm wondering if they'll be in short supply or have waiting lists for them. Should I wait it out, or take advantage of the current model which my local dealer has a large supply of? (I bemoan the current model not having a foot rest, armrest or lever for seat height.)

- i think you might as well wait for the 2009, since theyve adressed the problems the current one has. also the 2009 is bigger looks like it will have better options and supposedly the 2009 gets much better mpg.
- Wait for the 2009. The 2008 is a great car but the 2009 is an even better car.
- I would rather go with th Chevy Aveo or The Pontiac VIBE which is extremely nice its CAR
- I have a 2008 Fit. I could be wrong--and you should check to verify if this is true--but I heard that instead of a spare donut tire in the 2009, you only get a tire repair kit, allowing more room in the back hatch area. If this doesn't bother you, then wait for the 2009.
- I have a 2008 Fit Sport and love it. I've picked up an after market foot rest (dead pedal) for $43 and armrest for $80. I'm 6 feet tall and seat height does not bother me... With that said, I think you can't go wrong with either one... oh yeah, I recommend the 5 speed over the automatic, better gas mileage...
