When will the next generation of the Mazda 6 model come out?

I'm curious because I'm thinking seriously about purchasing a 2006 GTS, but was informed today that there are whispers that they might introduce a new model next year. From my understanding, they released the current model back in 2003, so the 2009 model seems like it could very well be the one in which they decide to bust out something new. I really don't want to buy a new car, only to have it be dated next year. Anyone have the answer to this?

1. i have seen pictures recently...great looking car i belive it will be in a years time
2. The Mazda 6 will be re-designed for 2009.
3. 2009 man just buy the car for now and if you want trade it in when the new redesigned one comes in
