What do you think of the Smart For Two car that Mercedes-Benz has introduced to America?

Also, do you have any information on the 2009 Ford Focus? Is it better than the 2008 models? I've been a Ford man for many years and would prefer to stick with them. Any info will be welcomed. Thanks. http://www.smartusa.com/index.aspx

  1. I think that the Smart car isn't smart. One of my customers loves his, but I see no reason. It has almost no space for cargo, and is very expensive for what you get. I think it is a trendy fashion accessory. Look at a Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, or Nissan Versa. I like the Corolla much better than the Focus. I've bought 3 new ones. the 2009 is very nice.
  2. Smart car does not guarantee your life. It is too small and unsafe. I would recommend either Toyota Prius Hybrid or Honda Civic Hybrid. If you like small car, Honda Fit is also a good choice. I had a Honda Civic and Pilot, they're are excellent and very reliable cars. Good luck.
  3. The Smart Fortwo was introduced about 2 years ago in America, but in Canada, not US. Now that it is in the U.S. of America, it is very popular because of the gas prices. But I would never buy one. They are unreliable, like Mercedes. They look and feel very cheap if you sit in one. But they cost more than Hyundai's and Kia's. And they are expensive to repair. Also, the fuel efficiency is bad. For a 80HP 3 cylinder car, it should be getting much better fuel efficiency. The 2009 Ford Focus is the same as the 2008. They might include an extra paint color or interior trim like wood, but that is it.
