FastKey on the 2009 Toyota Corolla?

I love the Toyota corolla, but the one in the United States does not have fast key, and I KNOW it’s an option in the Australia models. If I were to buy the car do you think it would be possible to simply purchase the equipment from an Australia dealership and have the dealership here in the USA install it for me upon purchase of the vehicle? About how much would you guess they’d probably charge me?

  1. Ask a Toyota dealership.
  2. They already have it here. It is the same Fastkey they've used on the Prius for a few years now. Just get the sensor and you're in. Just check the part numbers on it to be certain, but when I looked at it, it was the same as my Prius. Good Luck.
  3. Unless I have misunderstood what you mean by "fast key," it is available on certain Corollas for the US market. Check at the dealer. It is referred to the Smart Key System in the USA. The OE system is not financially feasible to retrofit to a vehicle that was not equipped with it. Wire harnesses, sensors, and a multitude of other things are different and not interchangeable.
  4. nope you need more than just the smart key button, the ecu needs to be replaced as well
