Where is the best place to advertise a used car for sale?

Should I use print in my local paper, or place an ad on the Internet? If I should use the Internet which website do you recommend for price and performance? Yahoo? MSN? Vehix.com? Some other? Thanks!

  1. hang a sign in the window and drive it ...people then see it is road worthy and dependable.
  2. your neighborhood.
  3. In the paper
  4. in the buy and sell newspaper
  5. I have spent a lot of money on newspaper adds and internet postings trying to sell a car in the past, but hands down the thing that has worked the best for me was to simply put a sign in it with a phone number and park it in a parking lot at a busy intersection. For the last car I sold, I put ads in Autotrader.com and Yahoo Autos and didn't hear squat for a few weeks, so I parked it with a sign and sold it in two days.
  6. I always look at autotrader and carsoup when buying. I never look at newspapers. Too much time. Cars.com is also good. I agree with the sign in the window, too. Find a busy road or shopping center to park it.
  7. put a sign on your car for local people. put it in the newspaper. you can also put it in on www.cars.com
