Is a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 available to buy in the U.S?
I've been looking around, but it seems like it's only available in Japan. Can't find it on Vehix.com, Cars.com, or the official Nissan site! It also doesn't help that the 2009 GT-R is confusing my search even further... My question is, could a person living in the U.S. buy one without going out of the country? If so, price estimation?

- its not offerred in the us just yet... it will be soon though.
- the r34 is not offered here in the U.S but there are a couple the you can buy from a private owner from $40,000 to$100,000 usually but you try http://modifiedcartrader.com/default.aspx this is your best bet!
- Nope. They are illegal to Import or drive in America. But a few years ago, it was not illegal to import them, but they were still illegal to drive. You can only own it and drive it on private property like a driveway or on ractracks. The steering wheel is on the right side of the car and it does not pass emissions testing or safety regulations of the U.S. There are more than 1000 Skylines that were imported, but few of them are R34 GT-R's. They usually go for more than $60,000. You can buy a new R35 GTR for just $10,000 more. The 2009 R35 GT-R is the first Nissan GT-R sold in the U.S. If you bought an R34 in America, you cannot drive it on public roads or fix it if it breaks because there are no parts for it in America.
- you can get the R34 GT-R..but i would check ebay etc. and usually california and ive seen em for sale in florida..your lookin for a farely high price..couple years ago they were like 70,000+..cause you have to get them US spec crash ratings..like shatter proof glass and airbags etc..and the 2009 is not for sale in the US as of yet..but the body styles of the infiniti g-35's b4 the newest ones were actually nissan skylines in japan! so yea..get a 350 Z or a g35 cause they both have the VG35DE engine

- Almost every skyline (before 2009 models) in the US is illegal or "grey market" at best. The best info on the net regarding skyline importation is found in this article. http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/skyline-import-1.shtml
- Hi, Seth...how ya doing buddy?? He's right, though. We at NICO spent months researching and interviewing to compile that article. It's probably one of the most comprehensive articles on the importing issue on the net. All of that information is true and correct. It doesn't say that you can't get one, it just says that it's a really good chance you can't make it 100% federally legal.
