What is a good price for my car?
I am selling a 1999 BMW 318si. 4 door saloon petrol engine. I have added zenon headlights and put a screen on the windows, to make them all tinted. The front windows are electric, and there is 157,000 miles on the clock. I have been offered £1,300 from a private sale. Can anyone advise if this is a fair price?

- Doh i missread the model, i would hold out for a bit more than that!
- you can get more then that my mate sold his for £1850 nice car .
- i think it is few
- na i wouldn't settle for that, i'd wait for the offer to raise up to around £1.900
- I'd say it was about right, I've just scanned the internet for you(aren't I nice) and they're going for slightly more but with less mileage. x
- check www.kbb.com to get the value of your car... The more options you have, the more your car will be worth... check retail pricing or private party pricing... If there are options not listed... add up the total you spent on the extra's and cut it in half... add it to the value of the car... show the receipts to the buyer and say, I'll take half of that off...
- Now here is where I get all confused and that is really not a hard task your offering price is in pounds, but the odometer is in miles? Assuming the body and interior are all clean, the car should bring a little more than that.
- 6500.00 at best. US dollar.
- about £2500
- tell him/her you want £1,500 for it and be prepared to settle for £1,400 thats a fair price, i take it that you havn't got full service history on the car but that it's in decent condition inside and out with a current m.o.t.
