list reasons why people enter their car into car shows?

I would like to know the motiviation of why people enter their custom or classic car into car shows. So far, people have said it is a sense of pride to show off their hard work. What are some other reasons? So....receiving a trophy is no big deal? I thought that is why most entered because the trophies are huge. Comments?

3. how much effort and time and sweat to get the car to look the way it does. i would love to do rallies with a 70 chevelle. it would be great also to meet other people in different areas. also the other way to look at it is cars are an art. we look at famous artists paintings in awe so why cant we look at a car that is all dolled up the same way. now the honda thing i dont get those are rice eaters and there is no way you can make a honda look good lol
4. they think their car is the best,it's in showroom condition,they want people to see how much work they have done on it,and they love to get a pat onthe back........
