My husband and I can’t seem to compromise when it comes to listening to the radio in the car. I enjoy Country, Alternative Rock, and Latin music. He on the other hand only wants to listen to his old ass classic rock! My question is to you ladies and gentlemen have the same problem tell me your story when it comes to the radio wars.

  1. i dont like that either!
  2. I call it KGEEZER Radio Drives me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. We don't agree on everything, but I like a lot of classic rock. Neither of us like country or rap, so we're easy that way.
  4. It's better than rap and country.
  5. Sports radio in my truck. Whatever she wants in her convertible. She now brings her ipod when she rides with me. Problem solved.
  6. Exactly the same for me. I have more contemporary taste and he's always listening to that. What's worse is we work together so there's very few times when we leave the house that we're not in the car together. I didn't make a fuss about it. It's been six years now and I have learned to tolerate it, and some of it I have learned to like. It's not my first choice, but it doesn't drive me ape like it used to.
  7. My husband is hispanic so whenever he runs into the gas station or someplace and I wait in the car, when he comes out as he is walking to the car I open up all the car windows and blast the spanish radio station..........its hilarious!
  8. We switch around. He gets what he likes sometimes, and then I'll get to change the station. It depends on the mood and who needs it the most.
  9. Yeah - some of that classis sh*t drives me mad....Gives me the willies big time... I advise him that the ear torture is over and change it. It should be on a station that everyone in the car is comfortable listening to!
  10. If that's the biggest problem between you and your husband, you are fortunate. Quit bit*hin' and start rockin'.
  11. never a problem, my husband and i agree we like all kinds of music, and to be truthfull classic rock/rock is our favorite. this wouldnt be america without Aerosmith, led zepplin, ozzy, pink floyd and many others, so yea we rarely agrue over the radio.
  12. Depends what you mean by "classic". Since I was a kid in the 80's, I love 80's music. I even like bands that I hated back then, only because it brings back memories of high school and college. As far as myself and my wife are concerned, we like different genres, but we work around it. She likes more country music than I do, but I like a lot of different types of music. Therefore, I consider her "turn" to have the radio an opportunity to expand my musical horizons.
  13. We switch back and forth. Some day's we'll listen to her Gospel music and other day's we'll listen to my country. And if we're listening to one or the other and a really sucky song comes on, we change to the other station. Also if comes down to us not wanting to compromising, then whoever the driver is gets to pick.
  14. It causes MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE!
  15. Sorry, I love classic rock, as long as it doesn't go too late in the 70s or get into Heavy Metal. I'm divorced, so there are no squabbles over the radio!
