Which Classic Car is better?
I am looking at buying a Classic Passenger Car and i have found a 1954 Ford Meteor flat 6 and a 1951 Dodge Coronet V8 and i am wondering which one is a better choice for comfort reliabilty and value. I like the Dodge b/c its a 2 dr and a cool colour and flat V. I like the Ford b/c its a 4 dr and the colour and it has a V8 I like the Dodge b/c its a 2 dr and a flat V6 I like the Ford b/c its a 4 dr and it has a V8

- i dig the dodge
- I don't know but when you pick the one you want,I will help you drive it.Man,I love classic cars!
- These are not every day cars. A 2 door has a better look and resale value. the 54 hands down. RESTORE AND ENJOY!!!
- Whats your definition of better? it's usually the most expensive and the best classic cars are the most expensive. Today I went to a classic car show, and it featured Auburns, Cords and Duesenbergs, each one worth over 1 million dollars. Using this, research top selling prices of each car and that will determine which is better. They are both off the main stream and if you are looking for something different either will do.l The shoe box Fords, 52-54 are some of the least popular and cheapest.Fords. So don't expect a return on your money, it's real easy to get upsidedown in these, this mostly goes for the Dodge too. So to sum up, get a more popular model if your making a investiment. a 2door v8 is the better, even though the Ford has the Canadian thing going for it. 4 doors are a negative as is the six cylinder. I guess I rambled enough, except I'm a Ford man and would never buy a dodge, I'd buy a Edsel first!
- dodge and ford both on the older cars are really good, dodge is a little harder to find parts for,and when you do find them you,ll pay a lot more for them,as for the fords they are good, and a lot easier to find parts for,i have a web site that may help you it has a lot of classic cars on it,you might like it,there's access to a lot of cars on it,good luck with it. http://classiccar.com/
- Get the one with the best body (check it for leading and/or bondo). Because it will be the cheapest to fix in the long run. Do not plan on making a profit off the deal. Fords have a bigger fan base then Dodges, which means there are more of them restored, but they have an eager market. The Dodge may be harder to sell, and get parts for however you can take more pride for having one when done.
