Are online car auctions good places to buy car?

1. In my judgment....especially with a car.....you have to be able to touch it, smell it, look at the engine...have a mechanic look it over and drive it...none of these can be done on-line. That is pure risk with no rewards. Of course, P.T. Barnum said that There's a sucker born every minute. Be careful
2. never buy any car sight unseen and tested.
3. I like to browse the auction sites to see what cars look like and read about them, but as far as actual buying, I need to see and drive it in person first.
4. They're only good if you can inspect the vehicle before making a bid on it. Otherwise your taking a chance. I would suggest you go to a car auction that takes place at a physical location. If you don't know where any are near you, you can buy a list that will tell you of all the sites located near your home.
