Are there any implications selling my unused Virigin Monile SIM Card?

I recently bought a Motorola C118 on Virgin PAYG and it came with a £10 top up. In the meantime I got a new contract phone so I don't need the C118 anymore. I bought the phone in Car Phone Warehouse and I paid by Direct Debit. Can I sell the phone including SIM card and free £10 credits on Ebay? Is the phone linked to my details in any way? Are there any details stored on the SIM card? I am just a bit cautious in case the phone might be used for anything illegal such as organised crime, terrorism etc.

  1. nothing will be on the sim card only things you have stored on it eg phonebook numbers and text messages make sure u delete them all and on the phone you should go to master reset probably under the settings option somewhere.
  2. Well you are the registered user of your payg mobile. Carphone warehouse no longer sells mobiles by cash, your details will always be linked to the sim card. Weird things going on at carphone, last week if you bought a payg, you needed to top it up with £30 credit. This week they no longer accepting cash for payg mobiles. Something serious has happened, would advise you to hold on to it
