I heard that a good way to buy a car is online.?
Please let me know if it's true. If so, how does someone go about doing so (like the names of some sites)? How difficult, easy, or safe is it? Also, what have been some people's experience buying online?

- heck NO! sure it's easy, because can sell junk cars without people knowing it
- That would be a very bad idea. You need to see the car before you buy it. If you don't see the car, then how do you know that they have one at all? Buy a car from a legit company. If you buy a car online, then you're just asking to get your money stolen.
- try carmax. i used a retailer, but it was an excellent car buying experience & my car still runs great. after 6 years (and driving A LOT) no big issues. www.carmax.com
- The key to doing this correctly is going in armed with knowledge. Find out as much information as you can on the vehicle, and the pricing. There are plenty of sites that will give you an invoice cost on most vehicles. If you can take that price and then work into play how popular the car is, you'll get a good idea of what you are capable of walking out the door paying.
- Only from a large reputable seller. I personally wouldn't buy anything online because I've heard too many scams with online purchases!
- You will always want to evaluate the vehicles condition before you commit to purchasing. I would not even think about buying a car online. It's OK to get information and price quotes, however you will still want to physically test drive and inspect the car before you buy it.
