want to buy a car cash from private indiv. What docs I need to fill out and what ofiices to go to register it?

1. Go to your local secretary of state office with the person you are buying the car from and complete the transaction there.
2. go to any notary public with the seller and they will have all of the forms, have I.D. with you and money to pay the sales tax as well as state transfer fees.
3. Call your motor vehicle department, they will tell you what you need and where to go.
4. Just get the title and a receipt. Pay with a cashiers check incase you need to track it later. Match the vin on the car to the title. See if the name of the person on the vehicles registration is the same as the seller, if no title is available. Take the docs to the DMV. That's all.
