So, I am 18 (legal age to be an adult in Nebraska is 19) and I want to buy a car 4 cash, can I sign a contract
My parents don't live in the state, so I basically I;m my own guardian.I wont be making car payments,just one time cash. My parents do not live in the U.S so I basically I'm my own guardian

- probably, have to have insurance and stuff not many people pay for a car with cash but you could always go over the state line if you needed too
- Think your parent has to co sign the sales slip so you can not take the Seller to court for selling to a minor .
- a legal contract signed by a minor is not binding. You will need your parents to sign or co-sign
- ok, but just go to anothere state were the legal age is 18. Hope is not to far
- Since the legal age for adult is 19 where you live, you will not be able to sign a contract as an "adult" until you are 19. You might ask your folks to help you by co-signing a contract. But then please realize, you will be responsible for car payments, insurance, etc. Take care.
- You should slip over to here is Colorado, you can buy a car at 18.
