What is the Life expectancy of a Police car?

Question 1: I need to make a decision as to purchase new police cars, or hire another machanic to keep them on the road longer. Question 2: buy vs Lease

1. The average life of a car is 10 years, so well maintained they could last that long. Police cars are usually replaced in 5 or less though for a variety of reasons. No one will let you lease a car to use as a police car, buying is your only option, but most states have a fleet buying program for police departments. They can give you the best price, and sometimes the local dealer will meet or beat that price if you ask.
