Can I buy a car in Canada and use it in the United States?
To elaborate, to buy it in Canada and use and keep it in the U.S. like any other car. What process would I have to go through and approximately how much would it cost? I know the km/hour gauges would have to go, but is there anything else? Do you think it's worth it? Do you have other advice? Thanks

- sure you just have to pay too have it shipped here.
- sure,, most speedometers are dual so no problems.. but why,, cars are cheaper in the US
- sure after importation taxes, but why not buy one here, you will not save anything by going out of the country www.sunrisechevy.com midlothian IL gabriel
- The major hangup is meeting US emissions and safety standard. If it's a "US model" no problem. Other than that it's essentially impossible to economically bring in and convert a modern car.. Antique cars are another matter, as they just have to meet the standards of the year they were manufactured.
