What kind of device should I buy so i can use my computer in my car?

I want to buy a device that will let me use my computer in my car through the cigarette outlet. Its an HP laptop and has a 65W AC adapter. I want to get something that won't short out any circuits and isn't too powerful or too weak for it.

  1. Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack, etc all sell voltage inverters which uses your car's electrical system to generate 110v AC to power smaller devices like you computer. Cost these days is like $29. Your cigarette lighter is protected by a 10 amp fuse, which means it can supply 120w before popping the fuse. 65w won't even make it breathe hard.
  2. The adapter will cost you $49 and can be seen at: www.laptoppartsworld.com Just scroll down to HP and read the specs. Good luck with the device. Great idea for you.
