Is this a good time to buy a hybrid car or should I wait a few months until the ecomy gets even worse?

The dealer is pushing me to buy now, but I think I'd rather wait.

Don't buy one period. And how can a dealer push you into buying one, Just say NO!
Buy it when you are ready. Do not let anyone push you into it. The guy just wants his commission. If and when you are in the market for a new car, then buy one. Get pre-approved by the bank, and then make a good deal. Never pay what they are asking. Your bank will also tell you what your current car is worth, as well as what the car you are looking at is really worth!!!
I bet the hybrid is more expensive than the other car your looking at right? Commission. But, I'd wait, Hybrid is about to be out done by Fuel Cell cars. Honda has one coming out either in 2009 models or 2010.
If you feel better waiting, then wait. However, right now you may be able to make a good deal. Do alot of dickering, find out the bottom line price, if he dosnt meet it then CYA.
