What is the best Hybrid car for a medium size family?

I am looking to buy a hybrid car that seats 5-7 peolpe. Does anyone know which is the best all-around vehicle?

1. Camry and Prius are good hybrids. Though Prius might be tight with 5 people. On the SUV side there is Ford Escape Hybrid and Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Try www.edmunds.com for research.
2. I'd say the toyota prius.. very pricey though...
3. There are currently no hybrids that will seat 7 people. There are several mid-size sedan hybrids (Camry, Accord, Altima) which will seat 5. The compact hybrids (Civic, Prius) have 5 seatbelts, but are way too small to comfortably carry 5 passengers. The small SUV hybrids (Higlander, Escape/Mariner, RX300h) only seat 5. Chevrolet Tahoe will be avalible in hybrid version next year and should be a 7 passenger model. With your passenger needs it may be best to wait for the Tahoe. http://www.chevrolet.com/hybrid/
