Would you sell your vehicle by consignment rather than Autotrader?

I'm thinking of starting an auto consignment based dealership where posting your car online and me advertising is free until you sell the car. Once I find a buyer for your car and make sure they are properly financed, you pay me a fee of $250 and say goodbye to your car. No hassle for the seller and because I am a dealer, I can ask for dealer price for the car.

  1. We had a place like that back in Minneapolis and they did well. They had lots of cars consigned. They took care of all the lookers The only problem was, as a seller, you couldn't use your car. Otherwise, good idea. Go for it. Good luck. Forgot to mention, I sold my motorcycle through a consignment place this past spring. It was great. I didn't have to wait for potential buyers to show up ( which they usually don't ) The place advertised, took care of the title transfer, etc. They would even detail the bike if you wanted for a fee.
