Will there be any legal problems in taking a US registered car taken to UK and sending it back to US?

US Guy is in UK and wants to sell his car(registered in US) which is in UK, and because of different kind of drive there... wants to sell it back in US from UK. Will there be any legal problems in taking the car from him?
