- sell it anyways, you can apply for a new one from the DVLA for £25
- Dont ask the DVLA for help........... They will sell you a new one £25, but it is ok to sell without logbook, send letter to dvla to advise them of new owner & give new owner a copy and a reciept. Be warned, most buyers will be suspicious........ Depends on how genuine you are?
- If you sell it without sending off the log book to the DVLA then you will be liable for any speeding fines or stuuf the new owner gets until you have officially sold the car. Get in touch with the DVLA and get a new log book then sell. Play it safe!
- Would you buy a used car from Nadine? I don't think so ... I wouldn't even test drive a car without seeing the log book first, never mind part with my hard-earned cash. Edit: and for God's sake don't sell it to a dealer without the log book! They're the biggest bunch of rip off merchants on the planet - they'd use your car as a 'runner' and you'd be the one who ends up paying the price!
- Sell it, stipulating V5 NOT PRESENT. You can then either agree with the buyer that you will apply for a V5 and forward it to them, or they can deal with it themselves. Very best regards Geordie
