  1. Try selling it on Ebay. You can set a reserve price so you're sure you get what you want out of it.
  2. Try auto trader...no one on ebay wants to spend money.
  3. Price your car correctly, this will bring in more buyers to look at your vehicle. Check out your competition before you price, look at what dealerships are charging, check out cars.com/autotrader/yahoo autos etc...DO NOT price your car at retail value on kbb.com or even use t hat number as any kind of benchmark. look more at the trade in value and pricate property value. Your car will sell somewhere between those two numbers. Put FULL DETAILS in any advertisements you do; cars.com, autotrader, local paper, don't use ebay (big headache and buyers don't trust anything on ebay due to the horrible treatment of dealers there). I do mean full details, people do not like being deceived for taken advantage of and if you disclose everything then people will be more willing to pick up the phone and give you a call. Put in the VIN# so people with NADAguides or Carfax can check on that. Put the mileage AND price, no matter how high the mileage. Dealerships use the trick of leaving one of these out of their ads to "make" people call them to get ALL the information, however, their goal is to get them in the dealership and sell them a car, but not that particular car. For YOU as a private seller, disclose disclose disclose. Your goal is to sell ONE car. There is a reason dealerships can get more for the same car and its because their cars are usually inspected and certified, but with you it's more of a guess/hope. If you want to sell your car quickly, for more money then you should do the above plus take it to a mechanic and have any issues fixed (or at least you will have a list of what IS wrong with the car) then keep that documentation and show it to anyone who comes to look at the car. As soon as I catch a private seller in a lie then i'm gone, so be honest, disclose and price correctly!!
