1. You can post it for sale on www.craigslist.org I've done it before and so has my boyfriend. Just go click on your state and then choose a city and post an ad. It helps if you include pictures, and give a good detailed description of the work it needs,so you don't have to sort through people who don't want a car that needs work when you start getting messages. Also try www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com Be cautious of anyone who wants the car shipped, wants to pay by check or money order, or is from another country. They most likely are scammers, to avoid any problems post in the ad that you'll accept cash only, and the buyer must come pick it up.
