- Internet is the best.
- First of all- if it has been on Auto Trader for 5 months, you are asking far too much for it. KBB is not the schnizz- it is a guide for the industry to set retail prices! Do a search on eBay's completed listings for your car's make, model and trim (and look at mileage too) and the prices in green mean it sold. Prices in red mean that it didn't. Why would you do this? Think about antique stores- they have stuff for a ton of money that your mom cannot sell at a garage sale, right? Just because someone puts a price on something, it doesn't mean that is what it is worth! Value is actually whatever a buyer is willing to pay so Auto Trader and the other sites are the same way. Cars identical to yours may be on there with a price that you would like to see but you don't know what people are successfully paying for cars like yours. If you need the money badly, putting an unrealistic price on a car and letting it sit there for months is losing you more money. Cars can depreciate for as much as 3% every month for that year of car. Get aggressive with your pricing and get that car out of your life and money in your pocket!
- Get your wife to sell it for you, or if you have a pretty relative get them to do the transaction. Even put their photo on the advert as well. Don't involve yourself with the sale and advertise it at a price above what you want Wash polish and valet it and then let it go to the first person that offers the nearest to your desired figure.
- Use e-bay or local paper. If you get no response chances are you are asking too much. Car is in average or Fair condition which it is at that year and make unless it is worth less would be around with 3-4000.00. KBB.com,Black Book, Nada
- Put it in craigslist, your church news paper and post it at independent auto parts stores.
- You need to put your car on CRAIGSLIST. I cant put the link here but go to google and search for craigslist. It is FREE to list there. I bought and sold a car BOTH in 1 week!
- Take out the price and let any interested party make an offer. Invite them to come look at the car and test drive or bring it to them. If price is to low they may think there is something wrong and won't call
- It would help if you told us how much you are asking for the car. If you are asking more than $5000 for this Caddy you are asking too much. Used Cadillacs are not in high demand and do not carry a very high resale value. Most people that want a used luxury car will go for a Lexus over the Caddy. If your pictures are good and your price is right, it should sell. I'd try eBay (local sale, no shipping) next.
