Should I sell my old car or cars?

My husband and I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder which has over 180,000 miles but there is no way of knowing b/c the odometer is broken. I figure it is worth around $2000 if anyone will buy it ($1100 for a trade-in). We also have a 1998 Honda CRV with > 160,000 miles. It is probably worth around $5500. We haven't had any major car problems with either. We don't like having two SUVs but they are both paid off, and I don't know what makes the most financial sense. Should we sell the Pathfinder while it is still running, sell the CRV b/c it is worth the most or keep both until they finally quit? Thanks for any help you can provide.

  1. what I would recommend since both cars are done for as it is anyway, is get new cars. Any car with over 120,000 miles means you basically need a new car
  2. I'd keep the Honda personally. I'd throw the Nissan on Ebay for the minimum of the Dealer trade price and see what happens.
