2. If I liked the old car, I would not get rid of it. I'd say it was a trade off to compare the building of a new one and recycling an old one. Certainly, as long as the old one is still running and being used, it was made with better materials and real steel, not like a light plastic new car that costs lots of money.
3. there are actually programs that pay to retire old cars, old being 15-20 years.
