Which is better selling old car for just a couple hundred or selling off the parts ?
The car in question is a 1994 mercury capri soft top and has many newer parts on it.

- sell the parts separately. you'll make more money
- Sell parts on eBay!
- Take off every single part possible and sell them all separately on e-bay. Loads of money to be made. People will buy wing mirrors, ashtrays, locks, door handles, lighting clusters, etc etc
- Selling the parts is better, I think you'll make more money in the long run.
- sell the parts to a local shop
- sell parts separately. you only sell the whole car if you know you are gonna get good money out of it. or if you fixed it with your $ and you can sell it for higer
- you get more money selling parts. That's how junk yards make money. They buy old cars for real cheap and sell the cars in pieces and get over 150% of profit from purchasing price.
- I'm a wrecking yard owner and can tell you this. It's a proven FACT that any vehicle is worth much more in pieces than complete. But the thing is finding the right buyers at the right time, otherwise you end up falling over 1/2 of it for months sometimes years before you get rid of it, in the process do damage to the parts etc. If it's a running driveable car, sell it whole and save yourself alot of work and headaches. If it's not running and/or driveable then I would strip it of EVERYthing and put it all on ebay piece by piece. You'll make a fortune there but I'm NOT saying you will sell it all over night. Good luck in whatever you decide.
- it is better to sell it for parts however this can be a long process unless you have someone in mind however it may be possible to get part of your money back by selling it whole you can advertise for sell whole or parts and compare the 2 ideas you can ask for $600.00 to $1000.00 and negotiate price
