How do I sell a car that is old and kind of raggedy?

I have to sell my 1992 cadillac seville because of a family emergency in a hurry! It needs a lot of work- like struts, windshield, alarm hook-up, 150k miles. All together the work would probably cost about $1000. I am asking for $2500. What do you think I should tell the people who call to ask about it?

1. Sorry dude your car is nowhere worth $2500. Put it on Craigslist for about a grand.
2. id just run the add in the local auto trader for it then when they call tell them it needs work it wont hardly bring that much money though unless you lower the price of it some,you probably wont get many calls about it at all,most people would consider 1000 bucks a lot of money for it,but be honest with them,and tell all who call that it does need work,good luck selling it,hope this helps.

4. A 1992 cadillac with 150k miles is NOT worth $3500. My uncle just bought a 93 cadillac in better condition with 138k miles on it for $800. According to Kelley Blue Book the car is worth a little over 2 grand. Subtract the $1000 it needs, you'll probably only be able to get $1000 out of it. Best of luck though.
5. at 2500 for a 92 seville it shouldn't have any problems i would say maybe a grand at most is all you can expect for that car better luck at say 700 even then would be a hard sell
6. A car with that much wrong with it its age and high mileage is not worth much only good for spare parts you will be lucky to get $500 for and for that it would still need to be registered
7. Tell them the truth as you know it. If you don't sell it then, try a car auto auction.
