Can I sell my car after recieving the "pink slip" certificate of title?

I paid off my car loan and the finance co. sent me the certificate of title "pink slip" with my name written as the registered owner. Do I need a lien release statement to sell the car? Or "pink slip" cert. of Title is enough to transfer ownership to the buyer?

1. If there is a lien...it is usually noted on the front of the title. Check your title- is there a typed block on the front (usually bottom half) showing who the lien is. If the lien is released - the lien holder will have signed a blank that is in that typed block. If there is a signature there- the lien is released and you do not need other documentation.
