Overhaulin'

If the motor is modified in my car and I need to put a new computer in do I need to get a high perf. one?

My motor has been modified it doesn't even have GM cylinders in it they are actually out of a Nissan. My car BTW is a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird 2.0 OHC. My computer needs to get replaced but I am wondering will it still act the same as it did when I replace it because I think it is actually thinking there is a new motor (it was replaced) and it doesn't know what to do as it put more fuel in than is necessary.

  1. Place an oem computer in the car and then see if you can get a performance chip or power programmer. If nothing is availible you could put a set of performance fuel injectors that are engine specific.
